UELI BRENNWALD
Partner
Ueli Brennwald was with Bank Hofmann for 38 years and has extensive experience with institutional investors, trading clients and prominent private clients. His clear preference for portfolio management has developed with the continuous expansion of his sphere of activities in Switzerland and abroad. He is appreciated as an authority on the financial markets and a specialist in technical analysis.
He counterbalances the busy tempo of the daily markets by spending time with his family and staying fit by playing tennis and golf.
URBAN ANEGG
Partner
Urban Anegg was an equity trader at the Zurich stock exchange. He moved to Ueli Brennwald's private banking team at Bank Hofmann in 1994. From 1999 to 2012 he held various executive positions in the private banking sector in Zurich.
"Back to the roots" in January 2013, Urban joined Brennwald & Partner as a director and partner. As a Certified International Investment Analyst and Certified International Wealth Manager the company benefits from his profound knowledge in Private Wealth Management and his experience in Trust Services as well as international tax matters.
In his free time he keeps fit with various sporting activities.
PETRA RUTZER
Assistant
Petra Rutzer completed a banking apprenticeship at the Handelsbank NatWest. Over time, she acquired a comprehensive knowledge of securities with a variety of foreign banks. Prior to joining Brennwald & Partner in 2007, Petra worked with Credit Suisse Group in the securities back office. In her role as assistant, she is primarily responsible for administration.
In her free time Petra enjoys reading and recharges her batteries with skiing and nordic walking.
CLAUDIA BLATTI
Assistant
Claudia Blatti joined the Brennwald team at Bank Hofmann in 1992, where she assisted Ueli Brennwald with developing our customer base. Following an extended maternity leave, she now spends two days a week away from her children to help us with various projects.
CLAUDIA TODISCO
Assistant
Claudia Todisco began her career in the banking field with UBS, where she acquired a comprehensive knowledge of the banking sector. Later, she moved on to work for other Zurich-based banks, where she specialized in private banking. Since 2003, Claudia has been working very closely with Urban Anegg in the client advisory service sector. In 2013 she joined Urban at Brennwald & Partner, where she supports the team in all administrative matters.
Claudia spends her free time with friends and loves to be in nature. With nordic walking she finds her balance to the office life.
ALEX BRENNWALD
Shareholder and active member of the board
Alex Brennwald assumes responsibilities for our corporate strategy as well as business development. As an Investment Manager at a leading private equity fund, he brings profound experience in value investing and financial analysis. Alex holds a Master degree in Strategy and International Management from the University of St. Gallen (HSG) and a MBA from Nanyang Business School Singapore.

The human element in a professional environment
History
Our company’s history dates back to 2001, with the founding of Brennwald & Partner. This was a cooperative venture between Ueli Brennwald and what was then Bank Hofmann AG. The company has continued to grow since that time and has positioned itself as a successful asset management company for international private clients.
Due to strategic realignments the corporate link with Credit Suisse was terminated in 2007. This presented us with the opportunity to restructure our company.
A new partnership was established among the asset managers at B&P. Today, the B&P team consists of ten employees, with Thomas Barell presiding as Managing Partner and CEO.
MARKUS KÄLIN
Partner
Markus Kälin joined Brennwald & Partner on 1st November 2014. Since 2000 he is responsible for international customers.
He study Business Administration (College of Higher Vocational Education Diploma) and adopted his extensive knowledge in the investment sector as investment advisor with domestic and foreign banks in Zurich.
For the counterbalances to the daily work Markus plays tennis and spend time with his family.
THOMAS BARELL
Partner, CEO
Thomas Barell worked within the Credit Suisse Group for 15 years, engaged mainly in private banking. Client advisory services, portfolio management, technology and logistics are his strong points. As a business and economics graduate with international experience (CS Toronto), he is a cosmopolitan and highly skilled discussion partner.
In his free time Thomas enjoys playing tennis and saxophone as well as being a dedicated family man.
ROGER GRAF
Asset Manager / Director
Roger Graf joined our team on January 1st, 2021 as part of merger of Brennwald & Partner and Logos Invest.
He has been looking after international private clients since 1990 in various functions at both banks and other asset managers. Hi experience in private banking and structured products is extensive.
In his free time, he plays chess and is politically active on the finance committee in his community.
RAFAEL SCOTONI
Asset Manager / Director
Rafael Scotoni has 25 years of banking experience at Credit Suisse, UBS and Julius Baer and has been with Brennwald & Partner since April 1, 2022.
As a graduate asset manager and business economist FH, he brings extensive knowledge in the field of private wealth management. Rafael specializes in corporate clients and executives in Switzerland and abroad and offers its clients a wide range of services.
In his free time, Rafael plays football, where he is also the chairman of the club, and likes to travel to foreign countries and learn about their cultures and history.
